JESUS WEPT, John 11:35

YES, two simple words with incredible depth!

Why was Jesus in tears, because of the death of Lazarus? That may be how it looks on the surface of the story, but there is more going on there than meets the eye! Yes, Mary and Martha were upset, along with others. Their brother had died, they were in mourning, and to top it off if Jesus had been around 4 days earlier Lazarus could still be alive! They believed Jesus could have healed their brother! They believed they would see him in the resurrection at the last day. You can definitely say she had her theology right! Not members of the church, for the church had not officially started yet since Jesus had not died for our sins yet!

g1145. δακρύω dakryō; from 1144; to shed tears: — weep. Compare 2799.
AV (1) – weep 1;

g2799. κλαίω klaiō; of uncertain affinity; to sob, i.e. wail aloud (whereas 1145 is rather to cry silently): — bewail, weep.
AV (40) – weep 39, bewail 1;
to mourn, weep, lament weeping as the sign of pain and grief for the thing signified (i.e. for the pain and grief) of those who mourn for the dead
to weep for, mourn for, bewail, one, From the Strong’s Concordance.

Sure Mary and Martha were in the klaio g2799 mode of sobbing, wailing, aloud while I think, Jesus was in a more serious mode of the g1145 mode of to cry silently. Jesus was mourning with Mary and Martha, with their grief. Jesus turned this time of mourning into a time of teaching, rejoicing, and revealing the power, majesty, and the glory of the Lord Almighty!!! I believed he was in this mode when he was crying over Jerusalem it self, Matt. 23:37, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”

HIS teaching was concerning of the facts of who he was and his abilities. Look at the full story and don’t miss the truth presented about our Saviour!

John 11:1-47, “Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. (– It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already. Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him. Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him. The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there. Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.”

POINT ONE: THE GLORY OF GOD

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. We are told right off this is to teach those not told why Lazarus is sick, for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby!

POINT TWO: “TIMING IS EVERYTHING”

Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? Jesus needed to wait two days until the time was right, for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby! It has been said, “That timing is everything”. If your a son of God, Fear for your life is not an accuse to keep you from fulfilling the will of God, or to glorify him.. It was once brought to my attention, that this something had happened to me, That it was better than the alternative, meaning death. My unexpected response was, NO, IT WOUNDN’T, give me the alternative! I would rather have the alternative (DEATH) and meet my Saviour, than be left here to suffer with something. The gift of Eternal Life promised to me by my Lord Jesus, who cannot lie, (Titus 1:2), negates everything that would keep me from being with Him! The FEAR of something is that one thing that keeps us from telling lost souls the Gospel of Christ!

Of course his disciples had no clue what Jesus was waiting for. They were accustomed to witnessing his miracles. They heard or saw water turned to wine, they saw the blind see, the crippled healed, the lame walk, what the had not seen was the dead live again! They were expecting Jesus, had he went earlier would, see Jesus do more of the same, heal Lazarus. The explanation of Christ of why he was waiting, flew right over their head, to the point where he just had to plainly spit it out! Lazarus is DEAD!

POINT THREE: WALKING WITH NO LIGHT

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. Now these are great Doctrinal AND SPIRITUAL truths Jesus is going to point out about light and darkness! Every person living during that day and time were living when Christ had not died yet! Meaning that men could walk during the day light seeing the light of this world (the moral corruption and avoid it) but could not walk during the night because there is no light in him! (No Spiritual discernment). The only light they had at that tine was the Old Testament, You will see the importance of this later. Now remember, Jesus is the Light of the World

John 8:12, Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 9:5, As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” While people of Mary and Martha dat did not have this verse they still fought against these same enemies.

No person living during the time of Mary and Martha were in Christ or Christ in them as explained in John 17:21-26 or as we are now until acts 2 when they were baptized with Spirit! Thus the statement, there is no light in him. As long Jesus was with them there was light in the world. Thus the same idea as with the Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven being at hand as long as Jesus was there, in the book of Matthew. Those are separate kingdoms, (See another blog on that topic.) There is no light in a person without Christ being in them! Christ had not died at that time!

John 1:1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” I think this is a very applicable verse that goes right along with this blog! It gives a lot of the insights to this story of Lazarus. Following this verse, John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” I remind you that is what this story is all about, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby!

So how does verses like, Psalms 119:11, Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee.
or Psalms 119:105, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Jesus is the Word, John 1:1. fit into this side track rabbit trail? Now just think the nation of Israel had the word of God since Moses penned it some 4 thousand years before Christ died, they memorized it, hid it their heart but were not in christ, for the entrance into christ hadn’t been provided for yet. Meaning Christ hadn’t come to his Death, Burial, and Resurrection, it had not occurred yet, nor the Spirit been given and all this kept secret from the foundation of world until it was revealed by the apostle Paul. “Titus 1:2, In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;‘ “2Timothy 1:9, Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.” The salvation Mary, Martha, and Lazarus was looking for was based on their works, the law of Moses as for those of us living in this day and age 2 Timothy 2:8-10 points out our salvation is not according to our works but by Grace through Faith!

POINT FOUR: LIGHT AND DARKNESS

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Now this is a bizzard topic to say the least! We understand from Genesis 1, how the creation was accomplished in 6 days. There was already darkness present and Therefore, Genesis 1:1-5, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and DARKNESS was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Now we have Light and Darkness, and Day and Night

Jesus in the following three verses makes some profound statements! As long as Jesus is present he is the light of the world, as long as a person was following him he/she would not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Therefore, because Jesus was present and was followed by believers of who he was, they were also considered by Jesus as “Lights of the World” and tells them so in Matt. 5:14, Ye are the light of the world. . . Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

John 9:5, As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

John 8:12, Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Matt. 5:14-16, Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

In the “Dispensation of the Law”, people who lived following the Law and the Prophets were following the Word! Jesus is the Word!!! Therefore, is it safe to say as long as they were following the Law of Moses and the Prophets they were not walking in darkness, but had the light of life? One would think that Psalms 119:11, 105, would be very important in order to stay in the light and not in darkness. Memorizing it to keep from sinning and using it as a lamp to light your path to keep from stumbling in the night or darkness, was how the nation of Israel were to live! The difference for us who are saved by Grace through Faith we are free, our salvation is not conditioned on what we do, Ephesians 2:8-10. However, our works are important to us, verse 10, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, We are new creatures in Christ and because we are in Christ we have the light of life in us! The Holy Spirit guides us through his teaching of the word God gave to us! Our works are to be reviewed at the Judgement Seat of Christ for our reward in heaven! Therefore, Light and Darkness, is an important topic to consider in relation to the effect the Word of God has on people back then and now. Also, it is why we should keep 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth .”

PART FIVE: THE RESURRECTION

John 11:20-28, “Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.”

In this section we will begin to see the truth of “Dispensational Truth” (See Blog by that Title). Martha in her grief approaches Christ saying , Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

Notice the theology of Martha’s day. She believed Lazarus would rise again in the resurrection at the last day. The last day before Jesus would return as King of Kings. Martha believed Jesus was the Son of God Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. However, Jesus asked her some very important questions which she failed to acknowledge about a resurrection for people who were alive who believes in him will never die, whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She didn’t answer that question! However, she could have had she remembered the story of Enoch, who walked with God because God took him.

Now there is an Old Testament Story of a righteous man before God, who lived before the Flood, a terrible wrath Judgement of God and was raptured. Sounds like a Pre-Judgement (TRIBULATION) situation if I ever heard one!!! whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Does that fit anyone you know today, members of the Body of Christ, which Enoch is a type of?

POINT SIX: Resurrection in the Old Testament

Daniel 12:1-3, “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. This Trouble is known as Jacob’s Trouble or the Tribulation, and Daniel’s 70th Week. This passage above is a judgement on Israel and once it’s over a resurrection will take place with two outcomes. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Now this is what Martha was talking about the Resurrection in the Last Day. Now to get this thing right it must be noted that Martha knows nothing about the Church Age, or of salvation by Grace through Faith. She knows nothing of the Rapture of the Church or the judgement Seat of Christ. Everything in or about the Church Age was kept secret from the foundation/creation until Paul came along, Titus 1:2, In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; However, resurrection of the Last Day of two groups of people come, (Daniel 12:1-3). not at the same time but come a thousand years apart from one another, as told in the book of Revelation, Chapters 11 and 20! See blog on THE RESURRECTION OF THE SAINTS: REV. 20:4-6!

A CONTRAST BETWEEN THEN AND NOW

Galatians 3:11-12, But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Revelation 11:12 reveals the rapture of the Tribulation Saints through the story of the two witnesses, while Dan. 12 and Rev. 20, confirm it! After the creation of the New Heavens and New Earth, an event takes place , known in theological circles as, The Great While Throne of Judgement, where reward is given to all groups of saints, Rev. 20:18, “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Now notice the three groups of those being rewarded thy servants the prophets, (Old Testament Saints) and to the saints, (Church Age Saints), and them that fear thy name, small and great (Tribulation Saints);

Therefore, Israel’s salvation is not completed until Christ returns to establish the Millennial Kingdom, after the Tribulation Rapture, (June 8, 2025), (and after the Rapture of the Church, (Feast of Pentecost), June 5, 2022), The return of the Lord Jesus Christ will be October 7, 2028, (The Feast of Tabernacles), to begin His Millennial Kingdom! Read the blog on the Feasts of the Lord and read Leviticus 23.

PART SEVEN: GROANING IN THE SPIRIT

JOHN 11:33 he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, JOHN 11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave

These two definitions of the greek words for groan and trouble make this an interesting encounter with Jesus revealing his righteous indignation with Mary and Martha. Dictionary Definition g1690. ἐμβριμάομαι embrimaomai; from 1722 and βριμάομαι brimaomai (to snort with anger); to have indignation on, i.e. (transitively) to blame, (intransitively) to sigh with chagrin, (specially) to sternly enjoin: — straitly charge, groan, murmur against.
AV (5) – straitly charge 2, groan 2, murmur against 1;
to charge with earnest admonition, sternly to charge, threatened to enjoin. Dictionary Definition g5015. ταράσσω tarassō; of uncertain affinity; to stir or agitate (roil water): — trouble.
AV (17) – trouble 17;
to agitate, trouble (a thing, by the movement of its parts to and fro) to cause one inward commotion, take away his calmness of mind, disturb his equanimity to disquiet, make restless to stir up to trouble to strike one’s spirit with fear and dread
to render anxious or distressed to perplex the mind of one by suggesting scruples or doubts

Frustrated with all them for their unbelief, Mary, Martha, and the other Jews there, when he is trying to show them the Glory of God. Hearing twice, “Lord, if thou hadst been here, and Could not this man. . .” Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then Jesus spoke to his Father for the listening Jews benefit. Then he called for Lazarus to come forth and he did, The result was,

SUMMARY

Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done

REV. 6, THE FOUR HORSEMEN

Rev. 6: 1-2. And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

The White Horseman

The rider of this horse, while you might think so, is not the, Lord Jesus!!! Although he comes with a bow and is given a crown, going forth conquering and to conquer. Christ had the seven sealed book and began to open the seals of the book. Now Chapter 5 makes it clear that there are many, to say the least, witnessing this event of unsealing the book. The Rapture has already happened in Rev. 4 and there are thousands and thousands around the throne. I bring up the Rapture at this point, for there are those who think two things. 1. The first 3.5 years of Daniel’s 70 Week Prophecy that last 7 years , the church will not miss this part of the Tribulation Period because it is not mentioned as “The Great tribulation”. While this part of the tribulation is not as troublesome as it becomes later when the AntiChrist makes the world with one government, The Globalist Agenda of 2030. And 2. That this first 3.5 years is not. the wrath of God! However, it is still no picnic either. Believe all the Tribulation Period is the wrath of God, all 7 years is wrath. Because this 7 year period continues to get worse and worse.

Daniel 9:27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

All the Tribulation period is the wrath of God, first on the nation of Israel for the rejection of the trinity of God. Israel rejected the Father, as their King, when they demanded a king like the other nations. 1 Samuel 9:17. Second, they rejected the Lord Jesus, crucifing him. Mark 15:37. Third, Israel rejected the Holy Spirit when they stoned Stephen. Acts 7:55-60. Their rejection of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit merits the Tribulation Period. Israel will not go unpunished for their rejection and unbelief!

The Rapture is a “Pretribulational Event”. All of the Tribulation Period is directed at the nation of Israel and not the Church. We are saved from the wrath to come. 1 Thess. 1:10, 5:9, By the time we look at all 4 horsemen and what they do, you will see the wrath come out in this pre-recorded history of Rev. 6. And that is what the book of Revelation is, Pre-recorded history.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

A covenant of peace shall be made with Israel, allowing them to rebuild their temple and worship the most high, then comes the red horseman. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate

The Red Horsemen

Rev. 6:3-4. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

This 2nd seal and the release of the red horseman, time wise in my reasoning is before the 3.5 mark of the tribulation. However, the antichrist is establishing his authority of the earth and the nation of Israel, allowing them to build a new Temple, allowing them to sacrifice to their God.

Rev.6:5-6. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Definitely, affecting the world’s economy, Like will happen with the globalist agenda of 2030. China already on their way to a cashless society, personal experience. all their money is deposited in their bank account, a person uses their cell phone to pay for every thing from taxi rides to groceries, every service you can think of.

The Pale Hoseman

Rev. 6: 7-8. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. This sounds as if the peace treaty is over and the antichrist is establishing his image for people to worship. Rev. 13:16-17, And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. China is developing their cashless society now, personal experience! I have just returned from China where everything is bought and sold with the use of their cell phone. it is amazing to see how their society has so greatly adapted to it. They love it!!! It will be so easy for the Antichrist to sell his buying and selling with his mark in your head or hand!!! It is coming to America with the Apple Pay Plan!

We are so close to the Rapture of the church, that it is amazing how many believers are unaware of how close it is to happening! While we are to be watching and waiting for this glorious event to take place, I might add at this point that the watching and waiting, really means is that, we should be in 2 Cor. 5:17-21 mode of reconciling men and women unto Christ as the ambassadors we are to be! See blog on the Rapture of the Church, the Resurrection of the Saints, and The End Times, Cont’d.

These four Horses and their riders display aspects of the entire tribulation. The 7 Seals are followed by 7 Trumpets, then comes the 7 Vials, Then chapters 13 ,17, & 18 lays out the works of the Antichrist, with those having to worship him or take his mark in order to live. Just as there are 4 Gospels, John’s book of Revelation gives 4 accounts of the Tribulation.

while there is no date set in the Bible for the rapture of the church and while we know not the day or the hour, we can know the time and the seasons as Paul writes in 1 Thess. 5:1-11,

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”

We are not appointed unto the wrath of God, which is what the tribulation period is the wrath of God! This a comfort for whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Therefore, whether you are an on fire Ambassador for Christ or just a pew sitting child of God, alive or dead, wake or sleep, we should live together with him. That is something to celebrate!!! It is definitely something that should give us comfort.

COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS! I THESS. 4:18

The Greek word for comfort is Stron’s # g2293. θαρσέω tharseō; from 2294; to have courage: — be of good cheer (comfort). Compare 2292.
AV (8) – be of good cheer 5, be of good comfort 3;
to be of good courage, be of good cheer. However, in our passage of IThess. 4:18, we find “comfort” here has a bit more force behind it. Strong’s # g3870. παρακαλέω parakaleō; from 3844 and 2564; to call near, i.e. invite, invoke (by imploration, hortation or consolation): — beseech, call for, (be of good) comfort, desire, (give) exhort(-ation), intreat, pray. AV (109) – beseech 43, comfort 23, exhort 21, desire 8, pray 6, intreat 3, misc 4, vr besought 1; to call to one’s side, call for, summon to address, speak to, (call to, call upon), which may be done in the way of exhortation, entreaty, comfort, instruction, etc.to admonish, exhort to beg, entreat, beseech to strive to appease by entreaty to console, to encourage and strengthen by consolation, to comfort to receive consolation, be comforted to encourage, strengthen exhorting and comforting and encouraging to instruct, teach. More of a command setting!

Why should there be a call to be comforted by believers? If we really sat for a moment and thought of the condition our world is in from the condition countries are in financially, the condition of the world’s population, the world’s animal population, the world’s weather condition. These would include war, famine, pestilence, beasts, the persecution of believers, and natural disasters.

Animal Extinction is of vital concern! Everything from deforestation to agricultural clearance, logging, habitat fragmentation, urbanisation, hunting, poaching, industrialisation, human-generated climate change and the black-market pet trade all play their part in wiping out species around the world, little by little, day In day out, rapidly increasing extinction rates to unprecedented levels.

World population is also becoming a vital concern! The world population was estimated to have reached 7,500,000,000 at 16:21(UTC) on April 24, 2017. The United Nations estimates it will further increase to 11.2 billion in the year 2100. UN projections show a continued increase in population in the near future with a steady decline in population growth rate; global population is expected to reach between 8.3 and 10.9 billion by 2050 and 11.2 billion by 2100.World population is also becoming a vital concern!

The Globalist Agenda is also should be thrown in the mix The Globalist Agenda represents a plan to bring all of Earth’s inhabitants under the control of a single, global state. There is a small, but powerful group of individuals who are the architects and instigators behind the formation and implementation of this “New World Order”. Using their influence through international organizations such as…

I am pointing these things out because each one and other things are factors in why we believers should comfort another with the details of the “Rapture”. We “Born Again Believers have a Blessed hope!!! That whether we live or die we will live with our Lord Jesus Christ forever!!! The coming of the Lord will occur in two phases, once before the church is caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and the other at when he physically returns to reign on the earth for a thousand years. The Churches Rapture is “Pretribulational and the rapture of tribulation saints is “Premillennial”.

Enoch and the other Antediluvians

 ANTEDILUVIAN PATRIARCH (noun)
The noun ANTEDILUVIAN PATRIARCH has 1 sense: 1. any of the early patriarchs who lived prior to the Noachian deluge, otherwise The Flood!

Who were They? Genesis 5 will give you the list

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.
And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.
And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel: And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.
And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.
And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech: And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed. And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died. And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The Flood in Noah’s Day ended the Antediluvian Age killing EVERYONE but 9 Souls, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, their Wives, and of course, Enoch!

This is an interesting statement for everything is gone in the flood or is it? What could have been left from this time period? What do we have now that was in the world before the flood? Before looking at what the scientific world shows us lets see what the scriptures say about the most unique thing that happened in that age and why there was need for the flood.

GENESIS 6:1-4.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that.

So who were these mighty men which were of old, men of renown? These giants are listed in the scriptures from Genesis to Joshua, Gen. 6:4, Numbers 13:33, Deut. 2:11,20, 3:11,13, Joshua 12:4, 13:12, 15:8, 17:15, 18:16. According to Gen. 6:4 they were the children of the sons of God, who took themselves wives of the daughters of men. If those references are checked it will tell us who these giants were and where they lived. It is amazing what rabbit trails can be run when you compared scripture with scripture. one of those trails would be “sons of God” through Job 1-2 and all the way to John 1:11-12.

“sons of God” in John 1:11-12 are those who believe on the name of Jesus for their salvationI. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: This means that all who have done this will have the same type body as the Lord Jesus. 1 John 3:2, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

1 Corinthians 15 states the whole process but check these verses 50-55,

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”

The passage above along with 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 reveals the Rapture of the church and demonstrates what type body we shall have. Scripture with scripture when comparing with Job 1:6, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. This is repeated in Job 2:1. Leaving one to think that “sons of God” are angelic like creatures without wings, who were at the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth Job 38:7, “When the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
“.

Now think about it! If these sons of God were at the beginning creation do you think it possible we as sons of God will be at the creation of the new heaven and new earth? How remarkable is that?

The Sons of God of Genesis 6

Genesis 6:4, “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

These sons of God had kids! Who were the giants which in my mind brings up all kinds of questions! i. e. What kind of DNA did the sons of God have? Did sons of God have souls? Where these items passed on to their kids, the giants? Did the giants pass on their DNA to their kids? Were there races of giants, Nephilim? to name a few. see definition below

The Hebrew word for Giant according to Strong’s concordance is “giants, the Nephilim”. h5303. נְפִיל nep̱îyl; or נְפִל nphil; from 5307; properly, a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant: — giant. h7497. רָפָא râp̱â’; or רָפָה raphah; from 7495 in the sense of invigorating; a giant: — giant, Rapha, Rephaim(-s). See also 1051.

Whatever kind of DNA these sons of God had, it was compatible with the daughters of men to produce an offspring of men, men of renown. Having given the definition we find a new word “Rephaim”

Strong’s Concordance use AV (25) – giant 17, Rephaim 8;
giants, Rephaim, old tribe of giants

Easton’s Bible Dictionary

Rephaim
lofty men; giants, (Gen 14:5 2 Sam 21:16, 18, marg. A.V., Rapha, marg. R.V., Raphah; Deut 3:13, R.V.; A.V., “giants”). The aborigines of Palestine, afterwards conquered and dispossessed by the Canaanite tribes, are classed under this general title. They were known to the Moabites as Emim, i.e., “fearful”, (Deut 2:11), and to the Ammonites as Zamzummim. Some of them found refuge among the Philistines, and were still existing in the days of David. We know nothing of their origin. They were not necessarily connected with the “giants” (R.V., “Nephilim”) of Gen 6:4 See Giants)

Of course, the statement that says there were giants in those days and after that disagree with Easton’s comment, We know nothing of their origin. Isn’t it amazing how commentators can make a statement like that when the evidence is staring right at them. He may not know their origin, but those who rightly divide the word can make the connection to the sons of God because they may indeed be very connected to Nephilim of Genesis 6:4.

Does this mean their is DNA still floating around these days that caused God to be upset with those of the flood? God did put those spirits who left their first estate in chains of darkness to await judgement, Jude 1:6, “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

Back to Enoch

It is said by some scholars that Enoch would have been born and translated on what would become the date of Pentecost. However, I cannot find any proof of that at this time, but it would seem to fit the narrative if it were to be true! I will keep my ear to the ground for a conformation of this idea. Somewhere in the writing of Jewish tradition it could be found, perhaps and properly is.

Anyway, Enoch is to be a type of the believer who is to be raptured at the time the church is raptured and never dies .

I

THE RESURRECTION OF THE SAINTS: REV. 20:4-6

I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

This is the first resurrection. Actually it is the conclusion of the first resurrection of the Saints. As pointed out in the blog on the rapture of the church, in thelastapostle.blog, there are a total of three resurrections of three types of saints, Old Testament Saints Matt. 27:52-54, Church Age Saints 1 Thess. 4:13-18, and Tribulation Saints Rev. 11:12. The student of the word of God, who rightly divides the Word, would recognize the three different dispensations and would know through the scriptures that qualification for salvation is a bit different for each dispensation. Now this goes without saying, Salvation is always by FAITH, the book of Hebrews, Chapter 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him:”.

Old Testament Saints salvation was a Conditional Covenant based on the keeping of the Law of Moses. The evidence for this is found in the book of Ezekiel, Chapter 18, were it Shows that if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and dies in his wickedness, his righteousness will not be remembered and therefore his salvation is lost. For the Church Age Saint Ephesians 2:8-10 defines salvation for them being based on GRACE through FAITH, not of WORKS. Never being able to lose his life, for he is passed from death unto life and has the righteousness of Jesus Christ! The Tribulation Saint’s salvation is based on their keeping the commands of God and having the testimony of Jesus Christ, Rev. 12:17, 14:12. and never taking the mark, name, or number of the beast, which is a certain death for those that do when Jesus return as KING OF KINGS!

None of God’s saints have seen the full inheritance of their salvation except perhaps Antediluvian Saints, which Enoch, who walked with God right into heaven, was one. He didn’t die for God took him! Enoch is another story for another blog. Antediluvian Saints are those who lived before the Flood and are also another story for another blog,

The Millennial Kingdom is the inheritance for the Israelites and Proselytes from the Old Testament and Saints from the Tribulation Period. The Rapture ends the Church Age and the Judgement Seat of Christ determines their reward in the Kingdom of God. Therefore, actually no 0ne has seen the full extent of their salvation. Christians, who are physically dead in Christ and those who are physically alive in Christ await the Rapture 1 Thess. 4:13-18. Old Testament Saints and Tribulation await the 2nd Coming of Christ and his Millennial Reign on the earth to experience the full extent of what God has promised them. If you really think about it we are all in wait for a New Heaven and New Earth where God the almighty dwells with us. The New Earth for the Israelites and the New Jerusalem for the Church!

THE HOLY BIBLE, GENESIS TO REVELATION, COVER TO COVER, Pt, 2

Psalms 119: 18

Open thou mine eyes,
that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

One of the “Wondrous Things” of the first blog was the comparison of this heaven an earth and the new one God will create when eternity starts and God will dwell with us. Another one of the “Wondrous Things” was finding who was there when God created this heaven and earth, particularity the Sons of God of Job 38:7. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? A third Wondrous Thing is what was God beginning to do with this literal, visible, and physical, creation of heaven and earth, is doing in six literal 24 hour days. Creating all our five senses that we can enjoy , including man as well. Giving that man, Adam, dominion over everything making him a King, over what Matthew calls “The Kingdom of Heaven”.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The KOG is a Spiritual kingdom unseen by the naked eye or through the Hubble Telescope, which is above the current universe, known in the Bible as the firmament, Gen. 1:6-8. The KOG, the dwelling place of God, is home too many other types of creatures. Whose attributes are very unique compared to our own! Their make up is a bit more superior to ours, in the fact that they can change their appearance from their own to that of us. The men that appeared with the pre-incarnate Christ to Abraham when Sodom and Gomorrah were in for destruction.

GENESIS 18:1-4. And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

GEN. 18:16, 22. And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.

Notice in the above passages that these are called men who came with the Lord. Later in the story we shall learn that these men were much more than men. They were angels who changed themselves to appear as men, just as the Lord had done.

GEN. 19:1, 5, And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

The men of Sodom saw them as men, but Lot knew that they were more than just men and knew what the men of Sodom wanted to do with them, to the point that Lot offered his daughters unto them.

GEN. 19:7-8, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

These Angels were righteous, appearing as men doing the will of God. There are, of course Fallen Angels, who do things not of the will of the Lord. Both types of Angels, are referred to as “Sons of God” in Job 1:6, 2:1, and 38:7.

GENESIS 6:1-4, And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants (the Nephilim) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

These sons of God were not doing the will of God when taking the daughters of men for their wives and having children that became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. The apostle Jude in his book says Jude 1:6, And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Notice that Moses calls them “sons of God” while Jude refers to them as “Angels”.

Question? Were these “Sons of God”, in Jude, the same as the ones that shouted for joy when at the creation of the heaven and earth, Job 38:7? Or, the ones that came to present themselves before the Lord, Job 1:6, 2:1? I guess it depends on the time line of events, which came first, Job 1:6, 38:7, or Genesis 6:1-4! Obviously the Job passages came first! The passages in Job were speaking of the group called “sons of God” who were present at the creation of the heaven and earth, job 38:7. The other Job passages, Job 1:6, 2:1, came after the heaven and earth were already created.

The Apostle John

The Apostle John in the gospel he wrote introduces another group as the “sons of God”, John 1:11-12. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: This means that the person, who receives Jesus, believes on his name, according to apostle Paul is made a new creature, 2 Cor. 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. AS John would put it John 1:13, Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John would crouch it with a new term of being “Born Again”, John 3:3, quoting Jesus, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus further explains to Nicodemus John 3:5-7, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a sh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Therefore, there it is from the Almighty Lord Jesus himself,

“Ye must be born again.”

When anyone makes the decision to be “Born Again” things change for sure! Once a citizen of The Kingdom of Heaven, a citizen of earth, your citizenship is no longer here on earth. You live here now! However, Paul writes to the Philippians and says, Phil. 3:20-21. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Like the theme song from The Jeffersons, “Well we’re movin on up,  To the east side.  To a deluxe apartment in the sky.”

Those who are “Born Again”, although. living here in the “Kingdom of Heaven”, are actually a citizen of the “Kingdom of God”! One day this will be a realized fact when we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord, 1 Th. 4:17. What a very “Wondrous Thing”, the catching away of the saints, the Body of Christ, the Church, the Bride of Christ, and yes, the Sons of God!!!

That’s right, “Sons of God”. Those who are Born Again by the Spirit of God become “Sons of God”, John 1:12. Now think about it, the Scripture says, When Satan fell and was cast to the earth that His angels fell with him, REV. 12:9, And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Angels we have learned are in fact “Sons of God”, and it makes you wonder, if the creation of saints made by believing the Gospel now days, in the Age of Grace, in fact are to replace “sons of God” who fell with Satan, when he fell??? Just a thought. While your thinking, read the blog about the Rapture of the Church. This event may happen on the day of Pentecost next year, May 31, 2020!

Creatures of the Kingdom of God

The Creatures that God created that dwell in his kingdom, the Kingdom of God, are these, Cherubim, Seraphim, and Angels. The greatest of the Cherubim is Lucifer, known as son of the Morning, Isa. 14:12, the anointed Cherub the covereth the Throne, Ezek. 28:14-15, “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”

The Holy Bible, Genesis to Revelation, Cover to Cover,

Psalms 119:18.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

INTRODUCTION

Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning”, beginning of What? It certainly isn’t the beginning of God, God has no beginning nor ending, he is Eternal, Unchangeable, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Ps. 90:2, Mal.3:6, Jere. 32:27, Ps. 139:7-10, 2 Chronicles 16:9, Respectively.

Revelation 1:8

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” These are the Holy Attributes of the Almighty God! Therefore, what is this the Beginning of?

THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD!!!

Now we get to behold a few of those “Wondrous Things” as we start to look into the creation of God.

Genensis 1:1-2

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters

Before we get started with God’s creation let us consider what was present before God started his creation process. We have already established God was already present when talking about his attributes.

There are many beginnings of things in the scriptures, 17 verses of different beginnings of things to be exact. (Gen. 1:1, Judges 7:19, Ruth 1:22, 2 Sam.21:9. Ezra 4:6, Prov. 8:22, Jere. 26:1, 27:1, 28:1, 49:34, Lam. 2:19, Ezek. 40:1, Amos 7:1, John 1:1,2, Phil. 4:15, Heb. 1:10.) What is needed to make things clear is to clarify which beginning is being discussed. In our case the beginning is the beginning of the creation of Heaven and Earth, Gen. 1:1, not the throne room of God, nor the Seraphim, Cherubs, and Angels, they were all there when the God created the heaven and earth.

John 1:1-3,

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

Job 38:4-10

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?
declare, if thou hast understanding.
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest?
or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened?
or who laid the corner stone thereof;
When the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Or who shut up the sea with doors,
when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
When I made the cloud the garment thereof,
and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
And brake up for it my decreed place,
and set bars and doors,

God was speaking to Job asking questions about the creation of the earth, but notice who was also there, When the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
The Word does not say who or what the Morning Stars are, the scriptures do not say 0r even hint to who they are, but it is interesting who the Sons of God are. (Gen. 6:2, 4, Job 1:6, 2:1, 38:7, John 1:12, Romans 8:14, 19, Phil. 2:15, 1 John 3:1, 2). All of the underlined verses in bold show that the Sons of God are spirit beings and the other verses reveal who become the spirit beings after being born of God.

John 1:11-13

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

That’s right, We become “Sons of God” and we will watch God, after watching him destroy the univserse including the earth, make a new heaven and earth, where there will be no more sea over the universe as there is now and God will dwell with us in the new Jerusalem,

Rev. 21:1-2

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Interesting start about the Creation. This Beginning of heaven and earth is preceded by the Throne Room with a crystal sea, Morning Stars, Sons of God, and other types of creatures in what the apostle Paul called a third heaven 2 Cor. 12:2 existing before God said, “Let there be light” Gen. 1:3. To reveal the merits of this thought is to compare statements from both passages Gen. 1;1-2 and Rev. 21: 1-2. upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and there was no more sea. We will get back “And the earth was without form, and void”, later. The Sea in Rev 21:1-2 is the same Crystal Sea of Rev. 4:6 and 15:2

Revelation 4:6

And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

The Face of the Deep, the Face of the Waters in Gen. 1:1-2 is the same as the Crystal Sea in Revelation by comparing scripture with scripture. Therefore, Job 38:30 will give the light we need to understand is wondrous thing.

Job 38:30

The waters are hid as with a stone,
and the face of the deep is frozen.

The Scripture compared with Scripture makes it easy to understand how these three passages about the “Deep” and “Crystal Sea” are speaking of the same thing. This is important when we continue about the creation of the heaven and earth and the destruction of this heaven and earth and having no more sea. Another verse in Genesis will show what the sea is,

Gen. 1:6-8

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven.

We have already established that God’s Throne Room was in existence with the different creatures, Morning Stars, and Sons of God. Gen.1:1-2 mentions the waters, the frozen deep, where the firmament, our universe was immersed into. An inverted fish bowl would best describe what this would look like. The Firmament/universe would be the fish bowl where the waters, instead of being on the inside were on the outside, surrounding the universe, thus having the sea, the deep, below the throne room and above the Firmament/Universe.. Therefore, when God destroys the heaven/universe, and earth, and there is no more sea, then what is left is the Throne Room of God, with all who was there before including all those born-again of the Church Age, those saints of the Old Testament, and Tribulation! There is one of those wondrous sights to behold close to the end of

THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD!!!

KINGDOM OF GOD VS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

The Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven are they one in the same thing or two different kingdoms. Biblical Author, Matthew, is the only apostle to use the phrase KOH.  Why is that?  Why is it that all apostles use KOG, including Matthew?  What makes these two phrases unique?

This phrase “Kingdom of Heaven”, further known as “KOH” is used by Matthew only 32 times.  I’m not going to exegete all 32 verses but I will show were they are alike with the “Kingdom of God” known further as “KOG”.

Will an examination of Synoptic parallels will demonstrate that the two phrases refer to the same idea?

  • “the kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4:17) || “the kingdom of God is at hand” (Mark 1:15)
  • “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven” (Matt. 5:3) || “Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God” (Luke 6:20)
  • “Among those born of women there has not risen a greater than John the Baptist, notwithstanding he who is least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than him.” (Matt. 11:11) || “Among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist, but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than him.” (Luke 7:28)
  • “the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 13:11) || “the mysteries of the kingdom of God” (Mark 4:11 cp. Luke 8:10)
  • “the kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed” (Matt 13:31) || “the kingdom of God…is like a grain of mustard seed” (Mark 4:30-31 cp. Luke 13:18-19)
  • “The kingdom of Heaven is like leaven” (Matt. 13:33) || “the kingdom of God…is like leaven” (Luke 13:20)
  • “Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven” (Matt. 18:3-4) || “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein” (Mark 10:15)
  • “Allow little children, and do not forbid them to come to me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt. 19:14) || “Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:14 cp. Luke 18:16)
  • “a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of Heaven” (Matt. 19:23) || “How hardly shall they who have riches enter into the kingdom of God!” (Luke 18:24).                                                                                                               2018 Bible.org

There are two verses in Matthew I would like to discuss Matthew 19:23, 24.

23, Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24,  And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Moody dissertation on KOG vs KOH.    Question: “What is the difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven?”

Answer: While some believe that the Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven are referring to different things, it is clear that both phrases are referring to the same thing.   (IT is not clear clear that both phrases are referring to the same thing, although, Moody says they are and even though, the following phrases contain facts.) (EMPHASIS MINE)        The phrase “kingdom of God” occurs 68 times in 10 different New Testament books, while “kingdom of heaven” occurs only 32 times, and only in the Gospel of Matthew. Based on Matthew’s exclusive use of the phrase and the Jewish nature of his Gospel, some interpreters have concluded that Matthew was writing concerning the millennial kingdom while the other New Testament authors were referring to the universal kingdom. However, a closer study of the use of the phrase reveals that this interpretation is in error.  (2 Tim 2:15,   A Rightly dividing of the word of truth, over these verses will reveal that the KOG and KOH are very different.)(EMPHASIS MINE).

For example, speaking to the rich young ruler, Christ uses “kingdom of heaven” and “kingdom of God” interchangeably. (Matthew 19:23) Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven’” . In the very next verse, (Matthew 19:24) proclaims, “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God”.    Jesus makes no distinction between the two terms but seems to consider them synonymous.    (2 Tim 2:15,   A Rightly dividing of the word of truth, over these verses will reveal that the KOG and KOH are very different.)(EMPHASIS MINE)

Mark and Luke used “kingdom of God” where Matthew used “kingdom of heaven” frequently in parallel accounts of the same parable Compare Matthew 11:11-12 with Luke 7:28; Matthew 13:11with Mark 4:11 and Luke 8:10; Matthew 13:24 with Mark 4:26; Matthew 13:31 with Mark 4:30 and Luke 13:18; Matthew 13:33 with Luke 13:20; Matthew 18:3 with Mark 10:14 and Luke 18:16; and Matthew 22:2 with Luke 13:29. In each instance, Matthew used the phrase “kingdom of heaven” while Mark and/or Luke used “kingdom of God.” Clearly, the two phrases refer to the same thing.   (IT is not clearly that both phrases are referring to the same thing, although, Moody says they are.) (EMPHASIS MINE)

It is easy to say that because one biblical writer said similar things in a few comparative verses only, or clearly, means they are the same.  However, just the opposite is the truth, they are similar in those few places, but very different and speak of 2 very different Kingdoms.  They are different for these reasons:

1A,  Definition of the word “Kingdom”

Here is where some light will shine forth with the definition “Kingdom”.   Kingdom, basileia, and βασιλεία, (Greek Word), means reign of a realm, a kingdom reign .  Jesus would be the king that rules both kingdoms.  While both kingdoms are similar at times it is because each kingdom is ruled by Jesus.  Thus, answering the phrase “the Kingdom of God/Heaven is at hand “.   Each biblical author could say that when they wrote was because Jesus was there when they wrote about the situation.

1B,  The word “heaven” has a variety of uses as well and is defined as;

noun. 1 a place regarded in various religions as the abode of God (or the gods) and the angels, and of the good after death, often traditionally depicted as being above the sky. • God (or the gods): Constantine was persuaded that disunity in the Church was displeasing to heaven. • Theology a state of being eternally in the presence of God after death. • used in various exclamations as a substitute for “God”: heaven knows! | good heavens! 2 (often heavens) literary the sky, especially perceived as a vault in which the sun, moon, stars, and planets are situated: Galileo used a telescope to observe the heavens. 3 informal a place, state, or experience of supreme bliss: lying by the pool with a good book is my idea of heaven.

According to any good real-estate agent the best place to live is determined by 3  things, Location, Location, and Location, therefore, in which location do you find the KOG and the KOH?   Each has a different location for they were both Created at different times!

1C,  The Kingdom of God existed before the Kingdom of Heaven, Job 38:3-7,

God questioning Job,   “Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.    Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.  Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest?  or who hath stretched the line upon it?  Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened?   or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together,  and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

These sons of God noted in the passage are spiritual beings, (JOB 1:6, 2:1) angels, watching the Lord create the Heavens and the Earth.  Emphasis being that God already had a kingdom that he was in control of called (Kingdom of God), while in the process of creating another Realm (The Kingdom of Heaven), that is entirely Physical in nature, contingent on space, time, and dimensional aspects. Although, no matter how similar they are or may appear, they are in no way, shape, or form, the same.  For the KOG is Spiritual and the KOH is Physical! (Emphasis Mine).  The subjects of each kingdom are different!  Subjects of the KOH cannot enter the KOG upon their own volition!   They are physical, I Cor. 15:50, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption”,  The subjects of the KOG upon its creation were all direct creations of God, all Spiritual.  The same was true for the KOH, for Adam was a direct creation of God, however, physical, Genesis 1:26-27, in that he was called “son of God”, Luke 3:38.  Satan was member of this KOG as the anointed Cherub that covereth the throne,       Ezekiel 28:14, Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”  God created hosts and hosts and thousands of thousands of angels, for there was no procreation among angels, Matthew 26:53,  Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Adam and Eve were Direct creations of God and yet were both made of the dust of the ground, (Physical).  Every one else were born physical, of flesh and blood and cannot inherit the KOG, but must be born again John 3:5-7, ” Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Therefore the KOG is a spiritual kingdom and the KOH is a physical kingdom made at two specific different times and are as different as night and day.  They are different in where, when, and who, they were made, and who they were made for.   Who the subjects that lived in each are very different in substance, form, and purpose!

These parallel verses while looking like the phrases are used interchangeable, they are showing they  both have problems with the rich      Matthew 19:23,  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.     Matthew 19:24, again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

The problem with the rich is that they have no need for God.  They are increased with goods and have need of nothing.  That attitude with the church of Laodicean, Rev 3:17, “ Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked”, shows the problem with someone who has no need of God in any realm or kingdom they dwell in.  These verses are only interchangeable in relation to the rich who think they do not need God, but does not mean the two kingdoms are the same.

The facts that each kingdom were, 1. constructed at different times, (KOG existed before KOH), 2.  in different ways, (KOG Spiritual Realm, KOH Physical Realm and 3.  having different types of beings to live in each of them, (KOG Angels, KOH Humans), shows that they are not the same on so many different levels, it is foolish to think they are the same, no matter how many verses show their similarities or who say they are the same.

DISPENSATIONAL TRUTH

Dispensational Truth, What is it?, where did it come from?, why is it important, if it is at all?, where is it going in the pursuit of bible knowledge?   From the things written on the subject these are some of the questions that have risen from the curious.   The word “Dispensation” is a “Biblical Term”, found in 1 Cor. 9:17, Eph. 1:10, 3:2, Col. 1:25.  The Greek word from which it is translated from is “οἰκονομία, oikonomia”, which is also translated “Stewardship” in Luke 16: 2-4.

Strong’s Concordance defines “οἰκονομία, oikonomia”: the management of a household or of household affairs specifically, the management, oversight, administration, of other’s property the office of a manager or overseer, stewardship administration, dispensation.

Since the word “dispensation” is a “Biblical Term” it is important and the topic is deserving of being rightly divided! The study of “Dispensations” falls into the area “Progressive Revelation”, (a Theological term) and thus directly related 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The definition of “Progressive revelation” (Christianity), the concept that the sections of the Bible that were written later contain a fuller revelation of God compared to the earlier sections. However, the study on the Revelation from God will need to wait for another blog.

Each writer of the 66 books of the word of God were given an oikonomia whether stated so or not according to Strong’s definition. For the apostle Paul he says it was placed upon him, 1 Cor. 9:16-17, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” God gave Paul the responsibility to reveal things that were hidden since the world began, Eph. 3:1-5, “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;”  Paul states some things were not revealed right away, Rom. 16:25 “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,”

Paul was given knowledge which no one knew about but was later revealed the other apostles by the Holy Spirit as stated in the verses above! Remember when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with those who were teaching in order to be saved they needed to be circumcised, Acts 15. It was Paul who the Holy Spirit used to reveal the mystery hidden noted by the phrase “my gospel,” in the verse above. Paul took ownership of his stewardship calling it “my gospel”. Up until Paul came along the gospel of the Kingdom was still being preached to Israel. The nation of Israel have not received the promises that were made unto them even to this day, they have not due to their rejection of the Godhead. They rejected the Father in the Old Testament, rejected Jesus when he walked among them, and rejected the Holy Spirit at the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7. Yet, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, (past, present, and future), was buried, and was raised from the dead the third day according to the scriptures, on the Day of Pentecost. Jesus went on to the building of his church, just like he said he would, moving the “οἰκονομία, oikonomia, dispensation” from salvation through the Law of Moses (works) to salvation by Grace through Faith alone revealed and preached by the apostle Paul, hidden from all since the world began. Jesus is doling out salvation Freely, (not conditioned on works,) in this dispensation to all who put their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. (based on Faith alone).

This dispensation, of Grace through Faith, will end with a spectacular climax named in Latin as the “Rapture”, translated in English, found in the Pauline writings of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. The Rapture is the catching away of the Church in the twinkling of an eye. THERE IS NO DATE SET FOR THIS EVENT! However, a person could state an assumption that it could happen on the Day of Pentecost like on the day the Church was empowered by the Holy Spirit, (Acts 2). Others have thought it may happen on the Feast of Trumpets, Tishri, the first month of the Jewish New Year, because of the phrase “the last trump”, (1 Cor. 15:52). Other hints are found by the phrase “come up hither” found in Revelation 4:1, 11:12. Both these passages are the raptures of the church (4:1) and tribulation saints (11:12), respectively. Yes, Two Resurrections, however, there’s a third, Matthew 27:50-53. “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” These three resurrections make what is called in Revelation 20:5-6 the First Resurrection, on such the second death has no power.

Another hint about the Rapture of the Church has to do with her as the Bride of Christ being called by her husband to be. King Solomon wrote in The Song go Solomon in Chapter 2:10-13 “My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs,
and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.
Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.”
The time of year Solomon was writing about was spring, late May-early June, about the time of the Day of Pentecost would fall on! (note Jewish Wedding Ceremony)

How many dispensations are there one may ask? The answer depends on who you ask! Different Dispensationalist, trying to rightly divide the Word of God, have given many many different answers to that question. The most notable person is Clarence Larkin with his books of charts. The best of his works is “The Greatest Book on Dispensational Truth in the World”! Dispensational Truth, Daniel, Revelation, Spirit World.  Hardcover Binding · Printed in the USA · Original Publishers. www.larkinbooks.com (864) 618-4796

Here is a picture of his works

I would like you, the reader, to see this amazing thing in the salvation process in both dispensations of Faith and Works, they are the two sides of the same coin. Eph. 2:8-10, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”    Salvation is obtained without works. However, works is very involved in the evidence that a person is in fact a son of God, John 1:12.   James says, James 2:14 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?”  Paul answers above, it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”   James continues, James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”  How amazingly this is true, note Eph. 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”   When compared to Paul’s teaching on “the Judgement Seat of Christ, 2 Cor. 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” cf  Romans 14:10 “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”

Like I said, “they are the two sides of the same coin.” Under Paul’s Doctrine we are not saved by what we do or don’t do, we are saved by Grace (unmerited favor, the getting of something we do not deserve, the Gift of God, everlasting life which we can never lose). Under James’ Doctrine the condition under which they are redeemed was through the keeping of the law, which they often couldn’t or wouldn’t do resulting in the loss of the promises given to them, which they have yet to receive! Their salvation can be lost according to the whole chapter of Ezekiel 18, a quote from this chapter, Ezekiel 18:26-28  “When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die”.    According to this passage, 18 of Ezekiel a man is declared righteous by what he does or doesn’t do. His works are of extreme importance to his soul living or dying. However, under Paul’s doctrine a man’s works are important to his reward. 1 Cor. 3:11-15, ” For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”

Before Daniel’s 70th Week of Prophecy

This bit of prophecy has been talked about and talked about until you’d  think we’d understand it by now!   But we don’t!   Just to let you know I’m not going to rehash all of it.   I am, however, going to lay out some things that will take you out of sleepiness and wake you up of where and what time we are living in!

Daniel’s 70th Week of Prophecy

Daniel 9:24-27.    “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,

to finish the transgression, and

to make an end of sins, and

to make reconciliation for iniquity, and

to bring in everlasting righteousness, and

to seal up the vision and prophecy, and

to anoint the most Holy.

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, (49 years) and

threescore and two weeks: (434 years) the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And

after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and

the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and

unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And

he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: (7 years) and

in the midst of the week(3.5 years ) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and

for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

I have broken down this passage like this in order to let you see what is in it.  However, we are going to concentrate on the last verse Daniel’s 70th week.  The other verses (24-26) detail the other 483 years that end at the DBR of Christ Jesus

This whole time of Seventy Weeks has been determined by Bible Scholars to be 490 years.  Therefore, that 70th week is 7 years also know as “The Time Jacob’s Trouble, (Jere. 30).  The 3.5 years is known as “Great Tribulation”. (Rev. 7:14), that is half way through the Tribulation Period.

The question now is, “What happens before the 70th Week and When does it start?”  Well the gap between the 483 years and Daniel’s last week of 7 years is the “Church Age”.  The “Church Age” is to end with the “Rapture”, See blog on the Rapture of the Church.  I believe the Rapture COULD happen on the Day of Pentecost, according to the Feasts of Israel and what all they represent, Lev. 23, Acts 2.   HOWEVER, THERE IS NOT A DATE GIVEN FOR THE RAPTURE!

It is my opinion that the Rapture is closer than most of us think!  All that needs to be accomplished is for the Anti-Christ to show up and present to Israel a covenant giving them access to build their temple and resume their sacrifices.  Our President has set our embassy in Israel’s capital and talks to make a covenant to make things safe for all.

Dan. 9:26-27,  “. . . and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, . . .   “

The Prince here is the Antichrist confirming the covenant with Israel.  When that happens the Church will have already been caught up, perhaps May 31, 2020,  JUNE 6, 2022, OR, JUNE 8,2025.  It could be that quick. Like I said THERE IS NOT A DATE GIVEN FOR THE RAPTURE! But should it actually fall on the Day Pentecost thOsE could be that day.

I know what you are going to say,  “We don’t know the day or the hour”,  Matt. 25:13. “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”.  Well Friend, you have erred not rightly dividing the Word of Truth.  This passage is not speaking to the Rapture, but to the Second Advent of Christ!

As we have seen, the Holy Spirit who came at Pentecost to empower  the “Body of Christ,” the Church, will, when the Church is complete and caught out, return with the Church to Heaven. This will leave the world without the presence of the Holy Spirit, and as no man can be “Born again” (Joh 3:3, Joh 3:5-7), or call Jesus LORD but by the Holy Ghost (1Co 12:3), the world will be in a bad plight. And as the “SALT” of “Pure Christianity” will have been removed from the earth, the earth’s “Moral Rottenness” will rapidly develop into such a state of “Putrefaction” that only the return of the Lord can stop. But we read that during this period between the “Rapture” and the “Revelation” a “great multitude” shall be saved, out of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues. Rev 7:9-17

6. THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE PARENTHETICAL DISPENSATION BETWEEN THE RAPTURE AND REVELATION   Dispensational Truth VIII The Dispensational Work of the Holy Spirit by Clarence Larkin

Now how is this “great multitude” to be saved if the Holy Spirit is no longer resident on the earth, as in the form of “Born Again believers? They will be saved as the Old Testament Saints were saved, by the Holy Spirit coming to individuals and regenerating them. The work of the Holy Spirit then in the “Parenthetical Dispensation” between the “Rapture” and the “Revelation” will be individualistic only and not in a corporate manner as in the “Body of Christ”.

Rev. 12:17.  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.        Rev. 14:12. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.   During this time of the Tribulation Period salvation is obtained by Works and Faith, see above passages.  This is the way the New Testament is laid out for all to see in three parts, separated with transitional books to move from one section to another, God works in three’s.

The Gospels represents OT under the Law.  The Book of Acts moving the Bible Studentfrom the Law into Faith alone.  The Pauline Epistles, Romans through Philemon, represents the Church Age under grace through Faith alone.   Hebrews, transitions the Bible Student from Faith Alone to salvation by keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus.  The Tribulation Period Books are, James through Jude, with Revelation summing up events and bringing in the 2nd Advent of Christ.          A broad stroke overview                                                  Gospel law  /Acts/  Paul, faith  /Hebrews/  Trib. Books James – Jude, Revelation the cap stone, works & faith.

This broad stroke overview has many aspects with in it concerning what one believes about Dispensations.  The greatest work on Dispensations was done by Clarence Larkin, by far.  If you don’t have  a copy you should get one!

One of the major aspects is the matter of salvation in each of these time periods.  Some would argue Salvation is Grace through Faith throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.  It definitely absolutely applies to those born again in the Church Age, Pauline Epistles.  Once saved always saved!   I cannot confirm it’s the same for all dispensations.   Ezekiel 18 suggests very strongly that a righteous man should he turn from his righteousness will die in his iniquity, a loss of salvation!

Ezekiel 18: 26-28.   When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

In the Tribulation, Daniel’s 70th Week, anyone taking the Mark of the Beast is doomed!  Rev. 14: 9-11.  And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

In conclusion, should you miss the “Rapture” the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” (Jere. 31) will be next on the agenda and that is not a good time to be in!  Whatever you do do not take the”Mark of the Beast, or his Number, or worship his image”.  should you do note the verse above!
