The Rapture is an event taught by the Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-18, and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54, pertaining to the flesh and blood not inheriting the Kingdom of God, and we who are alive will not prevent those who are asleep when the trump blows.
The Apostle John wrote of two of the three parts of the “First Resurrection”, (Rev. 20:5-6) in the book of Revelation using the term, “come up hither”, (Rev. 4:1-2, 11:12). The third time this phrase is used can be found in Proverbs 25:7, noting there are three parts to the “First Resurrection”. The passage in Proverbs is a notable proverb with its own application. The fact the phase “come up thither” is used Three Times is the point.
The Apostle Matthew records the very first part of the “First Resurrection” in (Matt. 27: 52-53), “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” When added to Rev. 4:1 and Rev. 11:12 the “First Resurrection” of Rev. 20:5-6 is complete. Although the last two have to be completed.
There is three parts to the “First Resurrection”;
1. OT Saints, those in Abraham’s Bosom, (Luke 16:21-25, Matt. 27:52-53),
2. The Church, The Bride of Christ, (1 These. 4:11-18),
3. The Tribulation Saints (Rev. 7:12-14), “Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev. 11:12), “And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.”
To summarize these three events the Resurrection of the OT Saints, the Rapture of the Bride of Christ, and the Resurrection of Tribulation Saints, once concluded make the First Resurrection of Rev. 20 complete. Those involved in these three Resurrections are all Saints. You can see from 1 Cor. 15:20-24 the three events “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;(OT Saints); afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. (the rapture of the Church) Then cometh the end, (The Tribulation Saints), when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God,” (Emphasis Mine)
There is a question concerning the OT Saints raised, when Jesus was raised from the dead, The text says they went into the city. (Matt. 27:52-53). “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” The question is did these saints “Die Twice” or stick around 40 days when Christ ascended into heaven? Acts 1:9. “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.”
I know the Lord is accustom of doing things according to plans he has laid out and for the student of his word, it is possible to have his plan made known to them (2 Tim. 2:15). In this case the mystery of the “Rapture of the Church” is knowable! Perhaps not the day nor the hour, ( Matt . 25:13), but certainly the times and seasons (1 Thess. 5:1), are. These two references are speaking of two different times and two different groups of people. The first one is speaking to Jews in the Tribulation and the other speaking to the Church before the tribulation!
Another way we can be sure of when the “Rapture” takes place is to rely on what God gave Israel to follow every year which, were her “Feast Days”, (Lev. 23). Christ fulfilled the first four feasts to the day and the hour and will fulfill the last three the same way. (See the Feasts of Israel, parts 1 & 2 in this blog). Now these “Feasts Days”, belong to Israel only and not to the Church. However, like I said earlier, “the Lord is accustom of doing things according to plans”. In case of the “Rapture” the plan the Lord is following is taken from the Feast Days of “Firstfruits and Pentecost”. Firstfruits is according to Christ being the firstfruits from the dead, (Passover), and Pentecost, (50 days after Passover), being the birth of the Church, when three thousand souls were saved, and the day when the major part of harvest is done, representing the “Rapture” of the Church.

The lines in yellow show the dates when “The Feast of Trumpets” would sound that the Rapture would happen. While some scholars think the rapture would happen according to this timing. We see in the chart the first two dates in yellow are past, leaving the years 2020, 2022, and 2025 left. However, while these lines in yellow, denote the year. These dates, May 31, 2020, June 5-6, 2022, June 8, 2025, are possible dates for the Feast of Pentecost and that the Rapture would happen for the Church. The lines in yellow are the dates in which the feast of trumpets would sound for Israel and the two witnesses of Rev. 11:12. The two witnesses (Moses and Elijah), were told to “come up hither”, representing the rapture of Tribulation Saints, as does the Apostle John in Rev. 4:1&2, was told to “come up hither” representing the rapture of the Church.
It was Moses and Elijah who were the two witnesses known by the description said of them in Rev. 11:6. “These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.” Others have suggested Enoch was one of the witnesses since he never died. However, Enoch serves as a type of the christian who does not die, a raptured saint who changed in the twinkle of an eye!
These two events, the Rapture of the Church, and the Resurrection of Tribulation Saints, are separated by at least 3.5 years. As the old saying goes “timing is everything” as in the case of when the rapture happens and Daniel’s 70th week starts. (Dan. 9:27). “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”
Before this event happens,“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:”,the Church would have heard the “Last Trump: (1Thess. 4:13-18)). We are living in those times now when it is possible for a peace agreement can be made with Israel. Therefore, When Satan, through the Antichrist, makes the covenant with Israel, the temple goes up, Israel begins her sacrifices until the Antichrist puts a stop to them in the midst of that seven year period, 3.5 years. The two witnesses will be prophesying during this same time, Rev. 11:3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” Israel’s calendar is based on a 30 day lunar cycle, therefore, divide 1260 days/30 days = 42 months/12 months = 3.5 years.
The starting of The Seven Year Tribulation Period, Daniel’s 70th Week, will commence on the day the Covenant is signed with Israel!The Rapture of the Church will take place before that day! The resurrection of Tribulation Saints will happen 3.5 years after that day!

Working backwards from the Resurrection of the Tribulation Saints 3.5 years, you have the signing of the Covenant with Israel and Antichrist. Then according to Gavin Finley MD – endtimepilgrim.org the Feast of Pentecost happens on May 31 in the year of 2020, in which, the Rapture of the Church will take place! This is derived from two assumptions. 1. The Rapture will occur on the Feast of Pentecost, The Celebration of the Harvest, not the Feast of Trumpets as Gavin Finley suggests 2. The Song of Solomon/Songs 2:8-13

The Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven are they one in the same thing or two different kingdoms. Biblical Author, Matthew, is the only apostle to use the phrase KOH. Why is that? Why is it that all apostles use KOG, including Matthew? What makes these two phrases unique?
This phrase “Kingdom of Heaven”, further known as “KOH” is used by Matthew only 32 times. I’m not going to exegete all 32 verses but I will show were they are alike with the “Kingdom of God” known further as “KOG”.
Will an examination of Synoptic parallels will demonstrate that the two phrases refer to the same idea?
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven” (Matt. 5:3) || “Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God” (Luke 6:20)
“Among those born of women there has not risen a greater than John the Baptist, notwithstanding he who is least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than him.” (Matt. 11:11) || “Among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist, but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than him.” (Luke 7:28)
“Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven” (Matt. 18:3-4) || “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein” (Mark 10:15)
“Allow little children, and do not forbid them to come to me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt. 19:14) || “Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:14 cp. Luke 18:16)

There are two verses in Matthew I would like to discuss Matthew 19:23, 24.
23, Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24, And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Moody dissertation on KOG vs KOH. Question: “What is the difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven?”
Answer: While some believe that the Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven are referring to different things, it is clear that both phrases are referring to the same thing. (IT is not clear clear that both phrases are referring to the same thing, although, Moody says they are and even though, the following phrases contain facts.) (EMPHASIS MINE) The phrase “kingdom of God” occurs 68 times in 10 different New Testament books, while “kingdom of heaven” occurs only 32 times, and only in the Gospel of Matthew. Based on Matthew’s exclusive use of the phrase and the Jewish nature of his Gospel, some interpreters have concluded that Matthew was writing concerning the millennial kingdom while the other New Testament authors were referring to the universal kingdom. However, a closer study of the use of the phrase reveals that this interpretation is in error. (2 Tim 2:15, A Rightly dividing of the word of truth, over these verses will reveal that the KOG and KOH are very different.)(EMPHASIS MINE).
For example, speaking to the rich young ruler, Christ uses “kingdom of heaven” and “kingdom of God” interchangeably. (Matthew 19:23) Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven’” . In the very next verse, (Matthew 19:24) proclaims, “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God”. Jesus makes no distinction between the two terms but seems to consider them synonymous. (2 Tim 2:15, A Rightly dividing of the word of truth, over these verses will reveal that the KOG and KOH are very different.)(EMPHASIS MINE)
It is easy to say that because one biblical writer said similar things in a few comparative verses only, or clearly, means they are the same. However, just the opposite is the truth, they are similar in those few places, but very different and speak of 2 very different Kingdoms. They are different for these reasons:
1A, Definition of the word “Kingdom”
Here is where some light will shine forth with the definition “Kingdom”. Kingdom, basileia, and βασιλεία, (Greek Word), means reign of a realm, a kingdom reign . Jesus would be the king that rules both kingdoms. While both kingdoms are similar at times it is because each kingdom is ruled by Jesus. Thus, answering the phrase “the Kingdom of God/Heaven is at hand “. Each biblical author could say that when they wrote was because Jesus was there when they wrote about the situation.
1B, The word “heaven” has a variety of uses as well and is defined as;
noun. 1 a place regarded in various religions as the abode of God (or the gods) and the angels, and of the good after death, often traditionally depicted as being above the sky. • God (or the gods): Constantine was persuaded that disunity in the Church was displeasing to heaven. • Theology a state of being eternally in the presence of God after death. • used in various exclamations as a substitute for “God”: heaven knows! | good heavens! 2 (often heavens) literary the sky, especially perceived as a vault in which the sun, moon, stars, and planets are situated: Galileo used a telescope to observe the heavens. 3 informal a place, state, or experience of supreme bliss: lying by the pool with a good book is my idea of heaven.
According to any good real-estate agent the best place to live is determined by 3 things, Location, Location, and Location, therefore, in which location do you find the KOG and the KOH? Each has a different location for they were both Created at different times!
1C, The Kingdom of God existed before the Kingdom of Heaven, Job 38:3-7,
God questioning Job, “Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”
These sons of God noted in the passage are spiritual beings, (JOB 1:6, 2:1) angels, watching the Lord create the Heavens and the Earth. Emphasis being that God already had a kingdom that he was in control of called (Kingdom of God), while in the process of creating another Realm (The Kingdom of Heaven), that is entirely Physical in nature, contingent on space, time, and dimensional aspects. Although, no matter how similar they are or may appear, they are in no way, shape, or form, the same. For the KOG is Spiritual and the KOH is Physical! (Emphasis Mine). The subjects of each kingdom are different! Subjects of the KOH cannot enter the KOG upon their own volition! They are physical, I Cor. 15:50, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption”, The subjects of the KOG upon its creation were all direct creations of God, all Spiritual. The same was true for the KOH, for Adam was a direct creation of God, however, physical, Genesis 1:26-27, in that he was called “son of God”, Luke 3:38. Satan was member of this KOG as the anointed Cherub that covereth the throne, Ezekiel 28:14, Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.” God created hosts and hosts and thousands of thousands of angels, for there was no procreation among angels, Matthew 26:53, Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
Adam and Eve were Direct creations of God and yet were both made of the dust of the ground, (Physical). Every one else were born physical, of flesh and blood and cannot inherit the KOG, but must be born again John 3:5-7, ” Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
Therefore the KOG is a spiritual kingdom and the KOH is a physical kingdom made at two specific different times and are as different as night and day. They are different in where, when, and who, they were made, and who they were made for. Who the subjects that lived in each are very different in substance, form, and purpose!
These parallel verses while looking like the phrases are used interchangeable, they are showing they both have problems with the rich Matthew 19:23, Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:24, again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
The problem with the rich is that they have no need for God. They are increased with goods and have need of nothing. That attitude with the church of Laodicean, Rev 3:17, “ Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked”, shows the problem with someone who has no need of God in any realm or kingdom they dwell in. These verses are only interchangeable in relation to the rich who think they do not need God, but does not mean the two kingdoms are the same.
The facts that each kingdom were, 1. constructed at different times, (KOG existed before KOH), 2. in different ways, (KOG Spiritual Realm, KOH Physical Realm and 3. having different types of beings to live in each of them, (KOG Angels, KOH Humans), shows that they are not the same on so many different levels, it is foolish to think they are the same, no matter how many verses show their similarities or who say they are the same.
Dispensational Truth, What is it?, where did it come from?, why is it important, if it is at all?, where is it going in the pursuit of bible knowledge? From the things written on the subject these are some of the questions that have risen from the curious. The word “Dispensation” is a “Biblical Term”, found in 1 Cor. 9:17, Eph. 1:10, 3:2, Col. 1:25. The Greek word from which it is translated from is “οἰκονομία, oikonomia”, which is also translated “Stewardship” in Luke 16: 2-4.
Strong’s Concordance defines “οἰκονομία, oikonomia”: the management of a household or of household affairs specifically, the management, oversight, administration, of other’s property the office of a manager or overseer, stewardship administration, dispensation.
Since the word “dispensation” is a “Biblical Term” it is important and the topic is deserving of being rightly divided! The study of “Dispensations” falls into the area “Progressive Revelation”, (a Theological term) and thus directly related 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The definition of “Progressive revelation” (Christianity), the concept that the sections of the Bible that were written later contain a fuller revelation of God compared to the earlier sections. However, the study on the Revelation from God will need to wait for another blog.
Each writer of the 66 books of the word of God were given an oikonomia whether stated so or not according to Strong’s definition. For the apostle Paul he says it was placed upon him, 1 Cor. 9:16-17, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” God gave Paul the responsibility to reveal things that were hidden since the world began, Eph. 3:1-5, “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;” Paul states some things were not revealed right away, Rom. 16:25 “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,”
Paul was given knowledge which no one knew about but was later revealed the other apostles by the Holy Spirit as stated in the verses above! Remember when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with those who were teaching in order to be saved they needed to be circumcised, Acts 15. It was Paul who the Holy Spirit used to reveal the mystery hidden noted by the phrase “my gospel,” in the verse above. Paul took ownership of his stewardship calling it “my gospel”. Up until Paul came along the gospel of the Kingdom was still being preached to Israel. The nation of Israel have not received the promises that were made unto them even to this day, they have not due to their rejection of the Godhead. They rejected the Father in the Old Testament, rejected Jesus when he walked among them, and rejected the Holy Spirit at the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7. Yet, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, (past, present, and future), was buried, and was raised from the dead the third day according to the scriptures, on the Day of Pentecost. Jesus went on to the building of his church, just like he said he would, moving the “οἰκονομία, oikonomia, dispensation” from salvation through the Law of Moses (works) to salvation by Grace through Faith alone revealed and preached by the apostle Paul, hidden from all since the world began. Jesus is doling out salvation Freely, (not conditioned on works,) in this dispensation to all who put their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. (based on Faith alone).
This dispensation, of Grace through Faith, will end with a spectacular climax named in Latin as the “Rapture”, translated in English, found in the Pauline writings of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. The Rapture is the catching away of the Church in the twinkling of an eye. THERE IS NO DATE SET FOR THIS EVENT! However, a person could state an assumption that it could happen on the Day of Pentecost like on the day the Church was empowered by the Holy Spirit, (Acts 2). Others have thought it may happen on the Feast of Trumpets, Tishri, the first month of the Jewish New Year, because of the phrase “the last trump”, (1 Cor. 15:52). Other hints are found by the phrase “come up hither” found in Revelation 4:1, 11:12. Both these passages are the raptures of the church (4:1) and tribulation saints (11:12), respectively. Yes, Two Resurrections, however, there’s a third, Matthew 27:50-53. “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” These three resurrections make what is called in Revelation 20:5-6 the First Resurrection, on such the second death has no power.
Another hint about the Rapture of the Church has to do with her as the Bride of Christ being called by her husband to be. King Solomon wrote in The Song go Solomon in Chapter 2:10-13 “My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.” The time of year Solomon was writing about was spring, late May-early June, about the time of the Day of Pentecost would fall on! (note Jewish Wedding Ceremony)

These two men greatly influenced the study of eschatology through the introduction of “Dispensational Truth!”
Evidences from Scripture, The Doctrinal Differences of Paul and James
EPH. 2: 8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
James 2:18. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Thus the discussion begins between, James and Paul over Abraham, Salvation by Law and works and Salvation by Grace through Faith, and perhaps the various dispensations they represent! Thus the answer to this dilemma lies in which dispensation you’re talking about and where do these verses apply, in the dispensation of the law or the dispensation Grace.
Let it be said at the very beginning of this subject of Abraham that he is father of both dispensations of Grace and Law. Did Abraham receive Righteousness while under the Law or under Grace? Paul, answers that in Rom. 4:3. ” For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. cf. Gen. 15:5-6, “And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Since, Abraham lived before the giving of the Law of Moses, he received his righteousness by believing what the Lord had said and promised, about his descendants numbering as the stars in heaven, thus by Grace through Faith. In the Dispensation of the “Age of Grace” or “Church Age” righteousness is received by believing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, 2 Cor. 5:21. “For he hath made him (Christ Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
When the apostle James speaks about Abraham and how he relates to a man showing his faith in God states James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?” cf Gen. 22:15-18, “And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.“
Both Paul and James’s account of Abraham’s life is true according to the dispensation in which James and Paul lived in! Abraham is the perfect example of Paul’s doctrine revealed to him after Christ Jesus appeared to him on the Damascus road, Acts 9:3-7, that salvation was by Grace through Faith, not of works, Eph. 2:8-9. I might add this was a mystery revealed only to Paul, Rom. 16:25. Abraham is also the perfect example of what James’ doctrine speaks of when he says “I’ll show you my faith by my works”, James 2:18, in the offering of Issac, Gen. 22:15-18. Abraham is the perfect example of both dispensations because he first believed what God had said then in years later he obeyed what God said had asked him to do. Gen. 15:5-6, 22:15-18, respectively!
The dispensation of the Old Testament ended when Christ died. The New Testament began with Christ Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, Hebrews 9: 16 – 17. “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.”
Exodus 19 and 20 is where Moses records where God the Almighty, started the dispensation of the law entering a covenant, (Testament), relationship with God. Exodus 19:8 “And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.”
Although, Salvation is always by the Grace of God. However, promises made to Israel were under the conditions of the law, which have yet to be fulfilled. Israel rejected God, (through unbelief of Jesus being their messiah and the breaking of their covenant made with God), Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, on three separate occasions, the last being the stoning of Steven, Acts chapter 7. The nation of Israel has displayed an unprecedented lack of faith and the scripture tells us without faith it is impossible to please God! Hebrews 11:6.“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
I would like you, the reader, to see this amazing thing in the salvation process in both dispensations of Faith and Works, they are the two sides of the same coin. Eph. 2:8-10, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Salvation is obtained without works. However, works is very involved in the evidence that a person is in fact a son of God, John 1:12. James says, James 2:14 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?” Paul answers above, “it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” James continues, James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” How amazingly this is true, note Eph. 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” When compared to Paul’s teaching on “the Judgement Seat of Christ, 2 Cor. 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” cf Romans 14:10 “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” Like I said, “they are the two sides of the same coin.” Under Paul’s Doctrine we are not saved by what we do or don’t do, we are saved by Grace (unmerited favor, the getting of something we do not deserve, the Gift of God, everlasting life which we can never lose). Under James’ Doctrine the condition under which they are redeemed was through the keeping of the law, which they often couldn’t or wouldn’t do resulting in the loss of the promises given to them, which they have yet to receive! Their salvation can be lost according to the whole chapter of Ezekiel 18, a quote from this chapter, Ezekiel 18:26-28 “When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die”. According to this passage, 18 of Ezekiel a man is declared righteous by what he does or doesn’t do. His works are of extreme importance to his soul living or dying. However, under Paul’s doctrine a man’s works are important to his reward. 1 Cor. 3:11-15, ” For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
A third dispensation in our conversation, to start in very near future is the 70th week of Daniel’s 70 week prophecy in Dan. 9:24-27, Dan. 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Known has the “Tribulation Period”, this 7 year period of time is when God pours out his wrath upon the earth and its occupants. This dispensation of the “Tribulation Period” is preceded by the “Rapture of the Church”, known as the “Pre-Tribulational Rapture”, in that discussion . The Rapture of the Church is the only event preceding the the tribulation from starting. When that happens people on earth will see in greater detail the orchestra begin to warm up with events happening in the Nation of Israel, something like we saw when Present Trump put our American Embassy in Jerusalem.
Salvation during the “Tribulation Period” is no longer according to the Pauline gospel, by Grace through Faith, a free gift of God not of works. On the contrary, Works are very important as also is Faith. We read in the book of Revelation how martyrs died, Rev. 12:17, “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” This verse showing the elements of their salvation works, keep the commandments of God and Faith, have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Works and Faith, like the Jews under the Law. Who were also able to lose their salvation. The taking the “Mark of Beast” was a sure way to doom yourself, worship his Image is likewise not a good thing. Rev. 16:2, ” And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
Should make note at this time that there is a “Mid-Tribulational Rapture of the two witnesses, (Moses and Elijah), according to Rev. 11: 1-13, “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
In this passage you are dealing with the Nation of Israel when the church, Body of Christ, has been removed from the earth and the Anti-Christ has made himself known. A new temple will be erected in Jerusalem and the two witness will be preaching. After 42 months the two witness will be put to death, in 3 days they will have their heads reconnected to their bodies for all to see and then raptured. How long of time between the Rapture of the Church and the Rapture of these Two Witnesses is not given. We are sure of this: it is at least 3.5 years between the two. AS stated earlier above concerning the book of Revelation, Both these passages are the raptures of the church (4:1) and tribulation saints (11:12), respectively.
At this point I’d like to vert your attention for a moment to how your New Testament lays out for you these 3 Dispensations Doctrinally. 1. The Four Gospels. Jesus was born under the Law, Gal. 4:4-5 “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” Thus the Law was in enforce up until the death of Christ, thus the Dispensation of the Law. 2. The Book of Acts is a transitional book to take you from Salvation by Works into Salvation by Grace through Faith, the Mystery Gospel, revealed by the Apostle Paul in 13 letters, Romans-Philemon, thus the Dispensation of the “Church Age”. 3. Hebrews is another transitional book to change the “οἰκονομία, oikonomia” dispensation to salvation by Faith and Works. James, in his book, staters it off writing to the twelve tribes, James 1:1 “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.” James was not writing to the Church, or Chrstian Jews. Thus the Books of the General Epistles, or Hebrew Epistles, as some have called them. James-Jude, are Tribulation books Doctrinally, while The Book of Revelation is the capstone, revealing the Tribulation in four accounts like the four Gospels reveal who Christ is. Matthew, Christ the King, Mark, Christ the Servant, Luke, Christ the Son of Man, and John, Christ the Son of God.
What is meant by the phrase, “James-Jude, are Tribulation books Doctrinally”, is that these books aptly apply to the “Tribulation Period” readers. The Gospels aptly apply to jews under the Law and by application the Pauline writings aptly apply to the Church, the Body of Christ, doctrinally! All showing the 3 Dispensations of Law, Grace, and Tribulation, a Dispensational point of view to the scriptures. Under each, “οἰκονομία, oikonomia” dispensation, there are certain things for the Stewards to understand, what to do, or not do, for them to be faithful stewards and certain books are written to certain saints for that purpose. Some bible scholars have taken this to “Hyper” level, called “Hyper-Dispensationalism”, this is where various scripture verses come into play. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” This verse shows there are many uses for the scriptures and scholars have said there are 3 Applications to the scriptures, Historical, Devotional, and Doctrinal. AS those of Berea we should do no less than they, Acts 17:11, These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” and so we aught to practice learning the scriptures as in, 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Examples of “Hyper-Dispensationalist” give statements like, “Jesus wasn’t talking to you.” or “James wasn’t talking to you!” A Dispensationalist sounds more like “All scripture is written for you, but All scripture is NOT written for you to Do”. This line of thinking is much more consistent with 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Timothy 2:15.
The Scripture of Matthew chapters 5-7, “The Sermon on the Mount” is not written for believers of the Pauline Doctrine of Salvation by Grace through Faith for us to prepare for. Christ hadn’t died yet! However, it is written for believers of the Pauline Doctrine for them to know and understand but not for them do! Unto this point what we know from the O.T. all that God has for the Nation of Israel is ready to take place. God promised them a literal kingdom, with a king on the throne of David, the literal King is present, and begins to deliver the constitution of this literal earthly Messianic Jewish kingdom.
This bit of prophecy has been talked about and talked about until you’d think we’d understand it by now! But we don’t! Just to let you know I’m not going to rehash all of it. I am, however, going to lay out some things that will take you out of sleepiness and wake you up of where and what time we are living in!
Daniel’s 70th Week of Prophecy
Daniel 9:24-27. “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
to finish the transgression, and
to make an end of sins, and
to make reconciliation for iniquity, and
to bring in everlasting righteousness, and
to seal up the vision and prophecy, and
to anoint the most Holy.
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, (49 years) and
threescore and two weeks: (434 years) the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And
after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and
the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and
unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And
he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: (7 years) and
in the midst of the week(3.5 years ) he shall cause the sacrifice and
the oblation to cease, and
for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”
I have broken down this passage like this in order to let you see what is in it. However, we are going to concentrate on the last verse Daniel’s 70th week. The other verses (24-26) detail the other 483 years that end at the DBR of Christ Jesus
This whole time of Seventy Weeks has been determined by Bible Scholars to be 490 years. Therefore, that 70th week is 7 years also know as “The Time Jacob’s Trouble, (Jere. 30). The 3.5 years is known as “Great Tribulation”. (Rev. 7:14), that is half way through the Tribulation Period.
The question now is, “What happens before the 70th Week and When does it start?” Well the gap between the 483 years and Daniel’s last week of 7 years is the “Church Age”. The “Church Age” is to end with the “Rapture”, See blog on the Rapture of the Church. I believe the Rapture COULD happen on the Day of Pentecost, according to the Feasts of Israel and what all they represent, Lev. 23, Acts 2. HOWEVER, THERE IS NOT A DATE GIVEN FOR THE RAPTURE!
It is my opinion that the Rapture is closer than most of us think! All that needs to be accomplished is for the Anti-Christ to show up and present to Israel a covenant giving them access to build their temple and resume their sacrifices. Our President has set our embassy in Israel’s capital and talks to make a covenant to make things safe for all.
Dan. 9:26-27, “. . . and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, . . . “
The Prince here is the Antichrist confirming the covenant with Israel. When that happens the Church will have already been caught up, perhaps May 31, 2020. It could be that quick. Like I said THERE IS NOT A DATE GIVEN FOR THE RAPTURE! But should it actually fall on the Day Pentecost this could be that day.
I know what you are going to say, “We don’t know the day or the hour”, Matt. 25:13. “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”. Well Friend, you have erred not rightly dividing the Word of Truth. This passage is not speaking to the Rapture, but to the Second Advent of Christ!
As we have seen, the Holy Spirit who came at Pentecost to empower the “Body of Christ,” the Church, will, when the Church is complete and caught out, return with the Church to Heaven. This will leave the world without the presence of the Holy Spirit, and as no man can be “Born again” (Joh 3:3, Joh 3:5-7), or call Jesus LORD but by the Holy Ghost (1Co 12:3), the world will be in a bad plight. And as the “SALT” of “Pure Christianity” will have been removed from the earth, the earth’s “Moral Rottenness” will rapidly develop into such a state of “Putrefaction” that only the return of the Lord can stop. But we read that during this period between the “Rapture” and the “Revelation” a “great multitude” shall be saved, out of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues. Rev 7:9-17
6. THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE PARENTHETICAL DISPENSATION BETWEEN THE RAPTURE AND REVELATION Dispensational Truth VIII The Dispensational Work of the Holy Spirit by Clarence Larkin
Now how is this “great multitude” to be saved if the Holy Spirit is no longer resident on the earth, as in the form of “Born Again believers? They will be saved as the Old Testament Saints were saved, by the Holy Spirit coming to individuals and regenerating them. The work of the Holy Spirit then in the “Parenthetical Dispensation” between the “Rapture” and the “Revelation” will be individualistic only and not in a corporate manner as in the “Body of Christ”.
Rev. 12:17. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev. 14:12. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. During this time of the Tribulation Period salvation is obtained by Works and Faith, see above passages. This is the way the New Testament is laid out for all to see in three parts, separated with transitional books to move from one section to another, God works in three’s.
The Gospels represents OT under the Law. The Book of Acts moving the Bible Student, from the Law into Faith alone. The Pauline Epistles, Romans through Philemon, represents the Church Age under grace through Faith alone. Hebrews, transitions the Bible Student from Faith Alone to salvation by keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus. The Tribulation Period Books are, James through Jude, with Revelation summing up events and bringing in the 2nd Advent of Christ. A broad stroke overview Gospel law /Acts/ Paul, faith /Hebrews/ Trib. Books James – Jude, Revelation the cap stone, works & faith.
This broad stroke overview has many aspects with in it concerning what one believes about Dispensations. The greatest work on Dispensations was done by Clarence Larkin, by far. If you don’t have a copy you should get one!
One of the major aspects is the matter of salvation in each of these time periods. Some would argue Salvation is Grace through Faith throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. It definitely absolutely applies to those born again in the Church Age, Pauline Epistles. Once saved always saved! I cannot confirm it’s the same for all dispensations. Ezekiel 18 suggests very strongly that a righteous man should he turn from his righteousness will die in his iniquity, a loss of salvation!
Ezekiel 18: 26-28. When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
In the Tribulation, Daniel’s 70th Week, anyone taking the Mark of the Beast is doomed! Rev. 14: 9-11. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
In conclusion, should you miss the “Rapture” the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” (Jere. 31) will be next on the agenda and that is not a good time to be in! Whatever you do do not take the”Mark of the Beast, or his Number, or worship his image”. should you do note the verse above!
The End Times are here, not full-blown as of yet, but then again, Christians have had a reprieve from the Lord in the election of Present Donald Trump! Things get full0blown 3.5 years once the AntiChrist things get started.
What I mean by that is, if Trump was not the president. our country was inline to become a third class country, setting the time for when the Antichrist would step in and create his one world government! I know that sounds alarmist, but if you are watching the news these days and seeing all the problems this president is having and know anything about the “Globalist Agenda”, You know through the Obama years we were being set up for that very thing!
I bring this up now so you can be aware of how close the catching away of the church is, thats right the Rapture! The Nation of Israel sees it like this in the their Holy Feast Days, Leviticus 23, especially the fall feasts. The first fall feast being the Feast of Trumpets!
The Feast of Trumpets was a blowing of trumpets to announce to God’s people of a time of judgement and Christ’s coming, ” (Joel 2:1; see also Zephaniah 1:14,16). Now while these three feasts all are in the same month of Tishri the timing or fullment of their events may happen in different years. Daniel’s prophecy in Dan 9, 24-27, noting the time of Jacobs trouble, Jeremiah 30, that there may be years between the three fall Feasts, even though they are celebrated every year at the same time each year. There are 7 years between Christ’s actual coming and a time of judgement by the anti-christ, Time of Jacob’s Trouble, Jer. 30, Dan 9:24-27. (See blogs on The Feats of the Lord Parts 1 & 2
For the Christian this lines up with, you guessed it, the Rapture, When all are caught up to meet the Lord in the air, I Thess. 4:13-18, I Cor. 15:50-54.
Israel will face judgement from the Lord for the rejection of their Messiah. The Christian’s judgement is located at the Judgement Seat of Christ, I Cor. 3:11-15. Another topic fo another blog.
The time leading up to the rapture is the subject at hand along with those events that set it in place. The question to ask is, “Where is the USA in all this?” or “What kind of political situation does the USA face for this to happen?” Obama was getting America in that position with his policies while in office. As written on the Georgia Guidestones, they want a global population of just 500 million. This means 6+ billion people must die over the coming century.
Dumbing Down of the Population
A well informed and educated population is the last thing they want as they prepare to bring the people through the greatest period of change in human history. To accomplish this they have systematically reduced the quality of education and have chemically reduced the IQ of the population by adding fluoride to the water and mercury to the vaccines.
What is truly remarkable about this whole thing is that the Bible predicted this several thousand years ago. Read about the four horse men of Revelation 6, when Christ opens the 7 sealed book. Rev. 6:7-8, “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” So a fourth part of the Earth’s population, 7.6 Billion, would be 1.9 Billion people die in that event.
As stated in the section on beliefs, the elite are obsessed with over population and have written about it for centuries. Consequently, as written on the Georgia Guidestones, they want a global population of just 500 million. The Globalist Agenda was delayed in the election of Donald Trump and why we have all the trouble with our politicians these days. Presidential candidate and highly successful businessman Donald Trump said it best; we should be concentrating on Americanism, not globalism.” The “Globalist Agenda”.

President Obama was very much an agent to bring in the “Globalist Agenda”, as you can see by what he has said, “Instead of having a set of policies that are equipping people for the globalization of the economy, we have policies that are accelerating the most destructive trends of the global economy.” , “My second piece of advice is to stay global. As the world continues to change and we become more connected to each other, globalization will bring both benefits and disruptions to our lives. But either way, it’s here, and it’s not going away.” Barack Obama”.
The agenda has been set, “This is a succinct presentation of the madness contained in the various plans to transform the planet: Agenda 21, Agenda 2030 and now Vision 2050. The lines in yellow are the years when the rapture is most likely to happen. The lines in yellow show the dates when “The Feast of Trumpets” would sound that the Rapture would happen. While some scholars think the rapture would happen according to this timing. We see in the chart the first two dates in yellow are past, leaving the years 2020, 2022, and 2025 left. However, while these lines in yellow, denote the year. These dates, May 31, 2020, June 5-6, 2022, June 8, 2025, are possible for the Feast of Pentecost that the Rapture would happen.

an overview of the Feasts of the Lord, we will be looking at them according to date on the Hebrew and Gregorian calendars, which can be a little confusing at times.
Passover on the Hebrew calendar is always on 14 Nisan no matter what day of the week it falls on in the Gregorian we pagans use today.
Unleavened Bread follows Passover on the calendar, therefore, the dates are 15-21 Nisan, lasting one week.
Firstfruits, according to the Scriptures, it will be on a Sunday, the first day of the week! Matt. 28:1, “In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher”.
These first three feasts speak of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus’ death, for the Israelites, as the slain lamb, whose blood was placed on the door post as the angel of death passover the Israelites to spare the first born son of each home, Exodus 12. The Unleavened Bread was to be eaten with the lamb and bitter herbs. This bread speaks of the sinlessness of the savior and the casting out of sin from a person’s life. For we know a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump, Gal. 5:9. The Feast of Firstfruits speak of the Resurrection of Christ from the grave, gaining victory over Death, Hell, and Satan.
The timing of these events comes into question here, especially with Passover and Firstfruits. Firstfruits need be on Sunday, as noted above and Jesus was 3 days and nights in the grave, Matt. 12:40, “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth”. This means that this Passover was on a Wednesday not on Friday in a particular year in the life of Christ. You cannot get 3 full days and nights with a Friday Death, Burial, and resurrection. The Resurrection when Christ rose from the dead was on the sunset at the end of the weekly Saturday Sabbath, 6:01pm Saturday, the Hebrew first day of the week, Sunday, Matt. 28:1.
Passover Nisan 14, 3790, April 3, 30 AD is a Wednesday, meaning Nisan 15, 30 AD is a High Sabbath Day, and the first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread. Also meaning, within a two week time line there will be four Sabbath Days, two regular and two high sabbath days. Firstfruits would be 18 Nisan, 3790, or Sunday, April 7, 30 AD.
Pentecost was 50 days following the Feast of Firstfruits, 7 Sabbaths and one day. The resurrection of Christ Jesus was a Sunday, therefore, the Feast of Shavuot, of weeks, of harvest, or Pentecost is a Sunday, (8 Sivan, 3790, May 26, 30 AD), Ex.23:14-17, Lev 23, Duet. 16:16. The correct annual date for Pentecost is not connected to the date of Easter, and Pentecost did not originate with the beginnings of Christianity. The Greek word πεντηκοστή in the Septuagint translation of the Old Testament in reference to the Hebrew’s Feast of Shavuot, which is celebrated every year in very late spring.
It should be noted that Jesus fulfilled each of these feasts, not only observing them each year he lived, but actually became them with His Death, Burial, and Resurrection and through the Spirit, Pentecost. It is also amazing that the Jews missed these events since they were all mentioned in the Old Testament hundreds of years before they happened and these feasts they practiced and rehearsed every year!
The Feast of Trumpets falls on the first of Tishri, the 7th month of the Hebrew sacred calendar and first on the civic calendar. Israel, has two calendars because they reflect both the Lunar and solar calendars. The Feasts of Trumpets, Leviticus 23:23-25, is the only feast that is based on the sighting of the new moon while all the others are based on the full moon. Since it is based on the new moon sighting it is interesting to note that there is no one certain day it can called, because it took two priests to make a physical sighting of when the new moon was and that info had to be passed on to the High Priests. This Day is also known as one long day. This Day is also associated the wedding feast of the bridegroom coming for his bride. It is started with a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, and an holy convocation. It is also called Rosh Hashanah, which means “Head of the Year,” because it marks the beginning of the Jewish civil calendar. The Hebrew word תרועה Yom Teruah, has this definition, which means “a shout” or “a blowing.” It appears that the shofar (ram’s horn) was to be blown at this time, as it was on the other new moons (Psalm 81:3). Jewish tradition indicates that both the ram’s horn and the priestly silver horns (hazozerah) were used in the Feast of Trumpets. The Feast of Trumpets was a blowing of trumpets to announce to God’s people of a time of judgement and Christ’s coming, ” (Joel 2:1; see also Zephaniah 1:14,16). Now while these three feasts all are in the same month of Tishri the timing or fullment of their events may happen in different years. Daniel’s prophecy in Dan 9, 24-27, noting the time of Jacobs trouble, Jeremiah 30, that there may be years between the three fall Feasts, even though they celebrated every year at the same time each year. There are 7 years between Christ’s actual coming and a time of judgement by the anti-christ, Time of Jacob’s Trouble, Jer. 30, Dan 9:24-27.
The Feast of Atonement is kept on 10 Tishri for 5 days, and known as Yom Kippur. Leviticus 16:1-34 brings out all the rituals involved, in how the priests are to react and how the Children of Israel are to repent before the Lord returns. Jews today still celebrate the annual Day of Atonement, traditionally observing this holy day with a 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. This Feast falls on different days each year in the Gregorian calendar in September-October, like all the rest of the feasts. The first Yom Kippur was instituted the day after the the Israelites worshipped the golden calf, and Moses told them they had sinned a great sin, Ex 32:30-33 and Ex 34:39-30 When Moses came down claiming God had forgiven them.
The Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated on 15 Tishri by the Israelites. On our modern Gregorian calendar, which did NOT exist at the time of Christ Jesus’ birth, He would have been born on Saturday, 30 September, 4BC, according to the Hebcal Converter, and not December 25th, as the Catholics set forth. The Feast of Tabernacles. 15 Tishri, 3761 (Hebrew year must be in the common era (3761 and above) on the Hebrew’s calendar, would be the day Jesus was born and is associated when He comes again 15 Tishri in an up coming year, marks when Jesus will come again to establish His kingdom here on earth as the King of Kings, Rev. 19. This comes from believing the verse that says Jesus is Emanuel, God With Us, Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us”. He was with us at his birth and will be again at his second coming and that time is celebrated by the Israelites each year on 15 Tishri, the Feast of Tabernacles, or Feast of Booths.
Leviticus 23:39-43, Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

One of those wondrous things to behold are the Feasts of the Lord given to the Nation of Israel in Leviticus 23. The 7 feasts are Prophetic in nature and lay out the first and second comings of Christ and all that is in between pertaining to Israel and not to the church. The timing of these 7 feasts are based on the lunar calendar. Each of the feasts is a reminder of events in the Nation of Israel’s history and layout a prophetic timeline for Jesus, the Messiah.
God in his creation of our world established our events according to his time table, that is his calendar. Genesis 1:14. “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years“. (Just so you know, “the firmament”, is called “the expanse” in other versions, is in fact “the universe” and an interesting topic for another blog) God gave us in his creation all the makings for a calendar, sun, moon, stars, light, darkness, in order to establish signs, seasons, days, and years. The rotation or orbit of the moon around the earth and the earth orbit around the sun provide for seasons, days, and years.The reasons we have 24 hour days, 29-30 day months (Hebrew calendar) and 30-31 day months + a leap year (Gregorian calendar).
Accordingly, the basic Hebrew calendar year is one of twelve lunar months alternating between 29 and 30 days: No. In leap years (such as 5774) an additional month, Adar I (30 days) is added after Shevat, while the regular Adar is referred to as “Adar II.”

The Hebrew calendar is different from the Gregorian calendar, established by Pope Gregory. The following Google search reveals this information: Gregorian calendar is internationally the most widely used civil calendar. It is named after Pope Gregory XIII, who introduced it in October 1582. It was a refinement to the Julian calendar involving an approximately 0.002% correction in the length of the calendar year. Calendars, are another story for another blog.
The cover photo gives the names of 7 major feasts, found in Leviticus 23, that are divided into Spring and Fall feasts. The 4 Spring feasts are listed in different months while the 3 Fall feasts are all listed in the 7th month, Tishri, (Hebrew) or September – October, (Gregorian).
However, Leviticus 23 has 8 feasts listed, the very first one, The Sabbath, (discussed sooner than latter). The Hebrew definitions, according to Strong’s dictionary, for the words signs, seasons, days, and years are more of those “wondrous things”God give us to behold. When we think of the seasons, we would think of our 4 seasons, winter, spring, summer, and fall. We would, however, be wrong in doing so.
Genesis 1:14. “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years“
Leviticus 23:2, “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.”
Leviticus 23:4 “These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”
These feasts are the Lord’s and were woven into the very fabric of Israel’s history. The Bible demonstrates their significance by explaining their message and God having the Israelites celebrate them every year. The words translated Feasts and Seasons in these 3 verses are actually the same Hebrew word “moed”. This word can also be translated appointed, assembly, time, congregation. Strong”s Dictionary says, “an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; specifically, a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand): — appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn(-ity), synogogue, (set) time (appointed).” Therefore, These feasts are “divine appointments” set up as “dress rehearsals” at the specific dates established on the Hebrew calendar.
The first feast mentioned in Leviticus 23 is the “Sabbath Feast”, but not recognized by bible scholars, as part of the 7 feasts, Leviticus 23:3 “Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.” However, the Sabbath is often part of the 7 feasts because it happens every Friday night at 6:00 PM to Saturday night at 6:00 PM, I said, “sooner than latter.”
The Sabbath is a special event to be happening as noted above and is discussed beginning in Genesis 2: 2-3, “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” However the word “sabbath” is translated 108 times and is first used in Exodus 16:23 and not here. Questions; When was the Sabbath set up to be followed or kept Genesis 2 or Exodus 20? Who first kept the sabbath, Adam and Eve or Nation of Israel? Well before getting into a plethora of questions. Let us try to understand what the Bible says about the sabbath!
What does the Bible say about Keeping the Sabbath?
Keeping the Sabbath is a covenant arrangement with the nation of Israel given in the 10 Commandments, Exodus 20:8-11, “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” While, the word “sabbath” was not used, but the description and definition is used in Genesis 2: 1-3. Adam and Eve may have very well know of God’s sabbath day rest. Genesis 2: 1-3, “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made”.
It may be inconsistent to think that God would sanctify the seventh day without Adam and Eve not being aware of it and God not instructing Adam and Eve how to observe the day and why. It may be inconsistent to think that way, however, it can argued that from Adam to Moses that no one kept the sabbath day rest observance. The silence of scripture is somewhat deafening in Genesis in how none of the patriarchs are told about the sabbath or how to observe the day. However, the fact remains that the patriarchs were told some things about their relationship with the great Almighty. Cain and Abel’s acts of worship, God’s conversations with Noah, Abraham, and/or Lot, we are not privy to all of their conversations. Therefore, we have no idea what they were told about observing the sabbath.
The deafening silence of scripture isn’t so deafening when considering the verbiage of Genesis 2: 2-3, Exodus 16:23-29, and Exodus 20:11. In Genesis 2:2 the declaration of the sabbath, without use of the word, “sabbath”, could be seen as an evidence that Adam knew of the practice.
In Exodus 16:23-29, the word sabbath is used 4 times in these 7 verses. In these verses the nation of Israel is instructed, on the to do’s and don’t dos, because of what the greatness of the day. The nation of Israel knew full well what the sabbath was all about, the feeding of the nation with manna since he pulled them from the bondage in Egypt.
In Exodus 20:11, This the formal giving of the Law of Moses. The key point here is the word “remember”, the very first word used in the giving of this commandment. Why would God be telling his people to remember something for them to do if they had no prior knowledge of it? This question gives way to the fact that the nation knew of the keeping of sabbath. Their need to to take the reminder serious could come from their 400 years making brick and their God bringing them out of bondage!
In the case of Noah, God observed his sabbath in his dealings with Noah and the flood You can tell he did by the number of times he uses the term “seven days” in Genesis 7 and 8. In those chapters God would cause an event and wait seven days or say “after seven days” cause an event. Genesis 7:4. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. The old saying is true, “timing is everything.”
Personally, I think when it comes to the sabbath, it is much like a covenant that God declares at different times, like he did with Adam, announcing him King of the Kingdom of Heaven, Genesis 1:26-31. The observance of the sabbath would have been passed down from Adam to his sons in the same fashion they knew to bring offerings at times of worship as in the story of Cain and Abel.
However, the question arises as mentioned earlier, why is it not mentioned much before the giving of the Law of Moses? Since the scripture is quite silent on the particulars on the lives of the patriarchs, we too should remain quite.
